There are two types of banners you can add via the theme editor:
We’d recommend adding the Product Pricing banner and a selection of the Drag and Drop banners.
Product Pricing banners: automatically show monthly payment amounts on product and collection pages.
Drag and Drop banners: placed manually in any section via the theme editor (Signposting and Spending Limit banners).
First: you need to turn on the iwocaPay banners loader app embed.
This loads the banner library on your storefront.
In the Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
Click Customize on your active theme.
In the left sidebar, at the top on the right, click the App Embeds button.
Toggle on iwocaPay banners loader.
Click Save.
Important: App embeds are per-theme. If you install a new theme or switch themes, you will need to repeat this step for the new theme.
1. Product Pricing Banners (PDP & PLP)
Calculate and display the monthly payment amount based on each product’s price automatically on your product pages (PDP) and collection pages / featured product sections (PLP).
PDP banner: on individual product pages.
PLP banner: inside product cards on collection pages and featured product sections (Only available on some themes*).
Customers will see copy like “Pay over X monthly installments from £££” directly on the product page.
How to set up a PDP banner
In the theme editor, navigate to a product page.
Click a section, then click Add block.
Under Apps, select the PDP price banner.
Configure the settings in the right sidebar.
How to set up a PLP banner
In the theme editor, navigate to a collection page.
Click into a product card in the grid.
Click Add block, then under Apps select PLP price banner.
Important: PLP banners need a theme where product cards accept app blocks (e.g. Horizon). On themes like Dawn where product cards are snippets, the PLP banners cannot be placed inside tiles.
Both pricing banners share the same settings:
Duration: Controls the payment terms shown on the banner.
Pricing type: Free for your customers / Free for you (interest bearing for customer). Controls whether the displayed instalment is interest-free or includes interest.
Do your product prices include VAT?: Yes / No. If your displayed prices exclude VAT, the banner will calculate repayments on the VAT-inclusive amount (price × 1.2).
Theme: Dark / Light. Controls the banner’s colour scheme.
The PDP banner automatically shows the price of the currently selected variant, when a customer changes variant, the banner updates instantly. Results are cached in the browser for 1 hour so banners load instantly on repeat views. Products priced below £5 will show the banner without a specific repayment amount.
Make sure you have the right pricing set up showing:
Product pricing banners automatically display the lowest possible monthly price, which always corresponds to your longest payment duration (e.g., 12 months). To make sure the displayed price is right, configure the banner with the interest set up that matches your longest payment terms option.
If your longest terms are 3 months (e.g., you offer 1 & 3 months): Choose the set up that matches your 3 month terms.
If your longest terms are 12 months (e.g., you offer 1, 3, & 12 months): Choose the set up that matches your 12 month terms.
Example: If you offer 1 and 3 months as 'Free for your customers', but 12 months as 'Free for you':
Payment Duration: Select ‘1, 3 or 12 months’
Interest Type: Select 'Free for you'

2. Drag-and-Drop Banners
These banners are added manually through the theme editor, so you can place them in any section that accepts app blocks. There are two types, each with several layout variants.
Available banner types:
Signposting banners: promoting payment terms options
Spending Limit banners: promoting Spending Limits and links out to a destination of your choice
How to add a banner
In the theme editor, navigate to the page where you want to place the banner.
Click on a section, then click Add block.
Under Apps, select iwocaPay Signposting Banner or iwocaPay Spending Limit Banner.
Configure the settings in the right sidebar.
Signposting Banner
Configure it in the block sidebar:
Variant: Hero / Block / Side / Small.
Duration: 30 days / 30 days & 3 months / 3 months / 12 months / 3 or 12 months / 1, 3 or 12 months.
Interest: Free for your customers / Free for you (interest bearing for customer).
Theme: Dark / Light.
Spending Limit Banner
Configure it in the block sidebar:
Variant: Wide / Block / Side / Small.
Link URL: the URL customers are taken to when they click the banner (leave blank if not needed).
Duration: (Block and Side variants only) 30 days through to 1, 3 or 12 months.
Theme: Dark / Light.
Choosing a variant
Each variant is a different size and layout of the same banner, pick whichever fits your page:
Hero / Wide — full-width, high-impact.
Block — medium, fits in content columns.
Side — narrow, suits sidebars.
Small — compact, minimal footprint.
3. Deprecated Banners
Earlier versions of the iwocaPay Shopify app included three older banner blocks, now labelled in the theme editor as:
[Deprecated] Banner → previously “Banner”
[Deprecated] Details → previously “`Details Banner”
[Deprecated] Product → previously “Product Banner”
These banners still work and any existing pages using them will continue to display as before. We'll remove them in a future release, so it's worth replacing them when you get a chance with updated versions to save disruptions later:
[Deprecated] Banner and [Deprecated] Details → use the new Signposting Banner or Spending Limit Banner.
[Deprecated] Product → use the new PDP Price Banner.
