To help us to lend responsibly, we run credit and identity checks before approving your business for a Flexi-Loan.

When you first apply, we will run a quotation check or "soft search" on your personal credit. This check has no impact on your credit score and is not visible to other lenders (you may see them if you view your credit report yourself).

We run business credit checks on businesses that apply with us. This search will show on the businesses credit file, as will an iwoca loan and your repayments towards it.

Although we look at credit history to help us make credit decisions we consider many other factors too, such as a businesses trading history (this is why we may ask for supporting documents). This has allowed us to approve many customers that have a great business but an imperfect credit history.
