How Shopify works with iwocaPay
Once you’ve installed and activated your Shopify plugin it'll add iwocaPay as another payment option in your checkout and your payments will automatically reconcile with the rest of your store data.
In a few clicks you can add a Buy Now, Pay Later payment option to your checkout for your trade customers in a few clicks and choose to show just Pay in 3 (to let customers spread the cost over 3 months) and, if you like, add a Pay in 12 option too (to let customers spread the cost over 12 months). If you’re on Shopify 2.0 you can also automatically add marketing banners to your store using our plugin too!
Pay in 3 and Pay in 12 will appear under one iwocaPay option
If you offer Pay in 12 this will appear alongside Pay in 3, you won’t be able to show them as two separate options in the checkout. You can still set different pricing for each from your dashboard - find out how Pay Later pricing works here.
There is no iwocaPay Pay Now option available on Shopify
There are already several pay upfront methods available on Shopify so this shouldn’t limit the payment options available to your customers.
You can offer iwocaPay alongside other payment options on your Shopify store checkout.
Your pricing set up is controlled by your Universal Pay Link
Head to the Pay Links page of your iwocaPay dashboard
Select Free for you or Free for your customers
Note: It’ll update for everyone who checks out from then on unless they already started check out (but didn’t finish it), they won’t get the updated pricing.
Connect your iwocaPay account to your Shopify store from your iwocaPay dashboard
It should only take a few minutes and you won’t need a developer or API keys.
Go to the Integrations page in your iwocaPay Dashboard
Select Shopify from the left hand menu and click Install Plugin
You will be redirected to Shopify to connect and install the App (you won’t be able to find it if you go to the Shopify app store directly)
Click Connect
Then Install
Finally click Activate iwocaPay and you're done!
Hitting Activate iwocaPay will immediately add the payment option to your Shopify checkout.
You can change your pricing set up and turn off/on Pay in 12 from your iwocaPay Dashboard at any time - it will update automatically in your Shopify checkout as soon as you do.
Automatically add marketing banners to your Shopify store
If you are using Shopify 2.0 you can automatically add banners to your website. Letting customers know they can spread the cost before they make purchase decisions is a great way to increase order value - so we wanted to make it easy.
Go to your Shopify account
Go to Online Store then Themes
Go to the page that you would like to add a banner (e.g. Home Page)
Select Add Section
Select Apps
You’ll see a selection of banners available from iwocaPay - just pick one you like and drag and drop it into place
Once you’re happy hit Save to save your changes
Removing iwocaPay from your Shopify store
You can remove iwocaPay from your checkout at any time from your iwocaPay dashboard in a few clicks.
Go to the Integrations page in your iwocaPay Dashboard
Select Shopify from the left hand menu and click Manage on Shopify
You’ll be redirected to Shopify and given the option to Deactivate iwocaPay
iwocaPay will stop showing as an option in your Shopify checkout immediately.
